GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB

Solid Card That I Got For A Deal

Once again I am not a hard core PC builder but from everything I found during my research for my new build the RX 7800 XT is a good card for the money even at full price. I am not going to get into the Nvidia vs AMD debate but this units specs were enough to make me look past Nvidia and maybe try something new.

Pros: Full disclosure, this was a refurbished unit that I got for a deal. With that said the thing looked brand new but just did not have the factory packaging. Plugged in and got it up and running in a new build with zero issues. I have it overclocked and all is working as it should for everything from 1440p gaming to 3D CAD work. I should point out that, until this new build, I have not built a PC since 2012 and also do not do a ton of hardcore gaming so take my opinion on the performance there with a grain of salt. Otherwise super happy with the performance (and price) and glad I stepped up from the 3060 card I was originally going to run.

Cons: The only con I might bring up is the uncertainty of buying a refurbished unit. However Newegg does offer a warranty so I jumped on it anyway The warranty might be half of what a new unit comes with but I feel it's still more than enough time to put it through its paces and see if I can create any issues and, realistically, after 6 months I will have already accepted that the money I spent on this unit is gone forever and would simply move on and look for a replacement if anything failed.
