    Subtle Without the Rave Show

    Disclaimer: I bought this as part of a bundle deal so it wasn't implented into my previous gaming rig. This review is based on my upgraded rig with newer components. It works like a dream! The processing is wonderfully fast, graphics run buttery smooth, and overall synergy is in lockstep. It is a great buy that allows for much interior room if you are the creative type. The only downside is specific if you are a Linux user like me. Sadly, the nifty antenna has trouble managing both WiFi and Bluetooth. Audio is choppy when not on an Ethernet cable for some reason. Signal strength often dips so download/loading speeds fluctuate. At time of writing, a manufacturers support team member is helping to resolve this issue so it is unknown if this is a software or hardware issue. Ill update my review if a functional solution is found. Or if performance changes. Make sure to update your BIOS first and foremost! The motherboard's firmware version comes in F5. This is from late 2025. Also, this is B850M EAGLE WIFI6E ICE (Rev. 1.1) motherboard. Not a B850M EAGLE WIFI6E ICE (Rev. 1.0).

    Pros: - Smaller form factor - In white with bits of grey and silver - Subtle design - Slide/buttoned hatches - Easy to install and remove - Clear labels - Thermal dampeners albeit miniscule

    Cons: - Limited outlets - Crunched layout - White gets noticably dirty

    Started well but went south

    Initially worked well except my case fan hub wouldn't connect to the motherboard. After updating BIOS my computer shut off and wouldn't turn on. I took it to Micro Center who told me I had a faulty motherboard though I just purchased it this week.

    Pros: Pretty easy to install

    Cons: Stopped working after a BIOS update

    If it fits your needs

    3.5 stars for a motherboard that hopefully won't kill your ryzen cpu like my asrock mobo killed my 9600x. -1.5 stars for the wifi dongle being abhorrent

    Pros: -not an asrock mobo -good value

    Cons: -the signature wifi dongle has terrible connection stability, enough to cause artifacting in discord calls and frequent packet drops in games. good enough to stream videos -not having the dongle plugged in also handicaps the bluetooth signal

    Great features at a nice price

    I'd buy this board again....no regrets, even with a few of the quirks known to GB boards and Linux. Some things are working out as I get to them/learn, but nothing game breaking. Paired with a 9600x and 9060xt for the synergy and friendliness with Linux.

    Pros: -Very easy to build with -Solidly constructed/reinforced board -PCIe 5.0 and good RAM speeds

    Cons: -Some quirks interacting with Linux that come with the territory -Situations of 'when using this you cannot use that'
