GIGABYTE Z890 AERO G Ultra Core (Series 2) LGA 1851, ATX, DDR5, 5xM.2, PCIe 5.0, Thunderbolt 4, WIFI7, Dual 2.5Gbe LAN, EZ-Latch
Defective Item, Newegg Charged 40% Restocking Fee
After ordering a replacement, Newegg received my return of the defective motherboard. They needed to charge me $160 because the motherboard had a small scratch on a capacitor. Even though they are supposed to send defective items back to the manufacturer. It seems they are going to try to sell this defective item back to a consumer. After 10 years of using Newegg, I just can't order from Newegg again. Amzon would never try to pull this on a customer.
Cons: Motherboard's LAN Ethernet could not be found, did not show up in Device Manager. This seems to be a common problem. Ordered a replacement and it works fine.

Really Nice Board
I would definitely recommend this board to others.
Pros: I like how this board worked out for my build. It is very impressive. Glad this doesn't have Display port or HDMI on the back panel. I have no need for integrated graphics nor their ports. Delete your Drivers and swap video cards out. Why you need IG ? I also don't need wifi but it comes with it. I recommend that you upgrade the bios as soon as you can, Initially it sounded like a Manual Cash Register during the Windows Updates. Loud Bangs, Clicks, and thuds during the Restarts. It added to the Theater of Building. After all the driver updates it's smooth as butter. The Bios is the most user friendly I've ever seen from the Byte people. I'm investigating all the new settings i've never had before. Heavyweight Board and does not feel flimsy. My Boot times were insanely quick due to the dual

Serious stability problem
There are some serious issues with this motherboard and I will not recommend it until they release a fix (driver or BIOS) for all these issues.
Cons: This motherboard is unstable. I have updated all the Windows drivers to the latest version, including the BIOS to F17f which solved some Windows 11 update issues but the motherboard still has serious problems. Going through the Event viewer shows it is flooded with events corrected hardware error Component: PCI Express Root Port. The motherboard installed works fine when it is booted up, however, after a few hours/days, it will suddenly go into a "hung" mode with nothing shown on the screen until restarted. I have reinstalled Windows 11 Pro twice, swapped the DDR5 memory on this motherboard but it is really unstable to the extent that it will cause the network switch to lock up until you disconnect the computer network from the switch. I have swapped out the switches twice, thinking the sw

⚠ Newegg A Once-Great Retailer That No Longer Cares ⚠
I've been a loyal Newegg customer for years, but after this recent experience, Im done. I ordered two 5090 + motherboard combos from Newegg expecting what was advertised. Instead, I received two different motherboards: One was the GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS PRO ICE (correct) The other was a GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS ELITE ICE (not what was shown or purchased) All I asked for was a simple exchange for the right board. But Newegg flat-out refused to help, saying they wouldnt swap the motherboard and because Ive used the 5090, I cant return the combo either. So Im stuck with a mismatched product I didnt order, through no fault of my own. It gets worse. I also ordered a 28TB hard drive from their auction store it arrived DOA, and Newegg has completely ignored my return/exchange requests. When I call their main customer service, they tell me they can't help and to contact the auction team, who doesn't respond at all. Newegg used to be the go-to place for tech. Now it's just another faceless, unaccountable marketplace. No support. No accountability. No customer care. Buyer beware.

Great motherboard for Intel Ultra build
Specifically made for intel ultra CPUs. Great aesthetics as one of the only white motherboards out there for your all-white build. Relatively inexpensive for the feature set you're getting: quick release NVME slots, good VRAM temps, post-code display, good layered PCB. I'd always recommend Gigabyte (unless its PSUs)
Pros: Includes most high end features for 2025 like WiFi 7 and quick release GPU and NVME sockets Good build quality Looks great in an all-white build
Cons: Made for high end intel builds but missing from pro features that fall short of the high end price point for a Mobo like lane sharing with GPU slot if both M.2 slots are used

Solid Upper Entry Level Motherboard
I enjoy GIGABYTE's design language and their boards have always been solidly constructed in my experience. Unlike ASUS' offerings, which in my experience seemed to inevitably fall apart or require some sort of RMA assistance before too long. This board is simply what you'd expect an upper entry-level board to be. I've gotten used to the GIGABYTE UEFI/BIOS from my Z790 board, but be aware that if you're into overclocking, most tutorials online will be from the perspective of an ASUS UEFI.
Pros: Stellar, clean aesthetics Solidly built
Cons: Would have liked to see 5G NIC Gigabyte Control Center is still an absolute mess of a software.

Working great
Recommend. My setup is working great.
Pros: Looks nice in my setup and working great
Cons: I should have been more careful at looking at what type of RAM is compatible. Some I thought were compatible but realized won't work to full potential if you planned to do all 4 slots, some only work at full speed in 2 slots. You can check their compatibility chart on their website to make sure.

No HDMI/DisplayPort and STILL has Intel Quick Sync!
Gorgeous board! Looks amazing in a white Define 7. My mistake for choosing board w/o DP/HDMI, but I think it'll still function for my main purposes. First Gigabyte board in about 9 or 10 years. I liked the Pros listed above and there are some good reviews of the board out there. Overall, happy with my purchase now that I know Intel Quick Sync works.
Pros: 5x m.2 drives, 3x PCIe slots, 256GB supported DDR5 and support for 9500MHz RAM! Ice/White board looks amazing
Cons: Came with "F7 Evaluation Copy" BIOS installed No DisplayPort No HDMI Lack of DP & HDMI concerned me, was worried it wouldn't have Quick Sync, but after a fresh OS installation with drivers it works just fine with Quick Sync, I just LOSE ability to use my Thunderbolt 4 port! Side mount USB front panel connector - not easy to use/interrupts Define 7 case in storage mode.
