    The problem about the 5080

The Gigabyte AORUS RTX 5080 ICE performs very well in gaming and stays cool overall, but I noticed what looks like a thermal pad/material slipping down inside the card near the output area. For a premium GPU, thats disappointing to see and raises concerns about assembly quality and long-term reliability. Overall: 3/5 Great GPU performance, but premium products should arrive looking properly assembled.

Pros: Performance is strong, but quality control should be better at this price point. I expected cleaner finishing from a flagship card. Pros: * Strong gaming performance * Good cooling * Nice design

Cons: Cons: * Visible thermal material/pad appears out of place * Concerning quality control for a high-end card

    Great GPU upgrade

The card runs great, and has been a huge upgrade from my 2080 super. Everything is maxed out again and it fits the computer build so well! The led screen on the side is nice to keep and eye on temps and usage, but I haven't seen it reach over 65° yet, or even using half of the VRAM yet. Very happy with the card.

Pros: Runs silent Stays cool Looks great

Gigabyte RTX 5080 AORUS ICE 16GB A Frosted Beast for 4K Gaming and AI Workloads

The Gigabyte RTX 5080 AORUS ICE 16GB is a stunning and powerful GPU that blends high-end performance with icy clean aesthetics. It's tailor-made for PC builders who want top-tier 4K gaming, creator-level GPU compute, and a premium design that doesnt look like every other black brick. While the price and size arent for everyone, this card delivers in thermal efficiency, visual appeal, and raw power especially when paired with the right PSU and Gen 4 riser cable.

Pros: Stunning White Aesthetics Unique "ICE" design with white triple-fan cooler, perfect for white-themed builds like the Lian Li O11 XL. Massive Performance Leap Powered by next-gen Ada Lovelace Refresh or Blackwell (depending on official launch), it easily handles 4K gaming, ray tracing, and AI workloads. Advanced Cooling System Triple-fan WINDFORCE Infinity cooling, vapor chamber, and extended fin stack keep thermals in check under full load. 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM (or GDDR6X if early model) Future-proofed for high-res textures, complex ray tracing pipelines, and AI acceleration (Tensor cores). Dual BIOS & Reinforced Backplate Allows quiet vs performance profiles and helps with GPU sag thanks to a sturdy anti-sag bracket. RGB Fusion Fully customizable lighting zones and screen (LCD Edge View on

Cons: Premium Price Tag Priced well above MSRP due to enthusiast cooling, factory OC, and white aesthetics. Large Footprint Triple-slot design may be a tight fit in smaller cases; vertical mount strongly recommended for aesthetics. Highly Tight in the O11 Lian LI with Front Distro from EK. Needs PCIe Gen 4 Riser Cable If Mounted Vertically Older Gen 3 cables will cause stability issues (e.g., WHEA Event 17 logs). High Power Draw Recommended PSU is 850W1000W minimum with dedicated 12VHPWR (12+4 pin) support.

    Beautiful White Card

SFF ready means this card is a bit smaller heatsink wise, but temperatures and performance are within expected values for a 5080! Price is obviously a con, but really this applies to all graphics cards at this point. Value wise you would be better off getting a 5070ti. If you are set on a white 5080 like I was then this is a perfect choice!

    Pros: Smaller Form Factor

    Cons: Value

GIGABYTE WINDFORCE GeForce RTX 5080 16GB

Great card, if you're willing to pay the price.

Good card, good looks, terribly overpriced

Pros: Size is perfect for SFF builds. Ended up going with a mid size tower. Performance and temps are in line with other 5080s

Cons: Price (obviously) Not a fan of the included GPU bracket. It leaves a lot to be desired. Vbios switch is extremely loose on my unit. Can't disable the "AERO" LEDs for some reason
